Children
The “JOY” in Joyland, stands for Jesus, Others and You. The lesson is that we gain true joy through putting Jesus and others first. Through creative drama, entertaining videos, active praise time, dynamic teaching and mentoring, children learn that putting Jesus and others first brings true joy, and for many, Joyland Sunday is the highlight of their week.
Joyland students (Grades k-5) also enjoy various fun outings, picnics, sleepovers, and activities.
Launched in 1997 from a burden to meet the needs of the underserved children in neighboring Oakland, ImpACT is our Christian non-profit organization that provides academic enrichment programs and one-on-one mentoring for Oakland’s inner city kids. The ImpACT Teachers, Team Leads, and Volunteers hope to create an energetic and caring learning environment for kids to reach their highest potential. ImpACT students are also invited to Joyland Sundays and other fun activities!
